Operation Valor is a peer-driven recovery housing and transitional living program built specifically for military-connected adults. Residents live alongside people who understand deployment, military culture, and the difficulty of coming home ; and who are walking the same road back to stability.
Why a veteran-specific house matters
Military service creates a shared language. Veterans often describe general recovery housing as isolating ; the routines, humor, and pressures of service life are hard to explain to people who have not lived them.
Operation Valor removes that translation gap. Residents live with other military-connected adults, which shortens the time it takes to trust the house, ask for help, and stay engaged in recovery.
Structure that mirrors what works
The house runs on clear expectations: sobriety, accountability to the group, weekly goals, and contribution to the household. Structure is familiar to people who served, and it reduces the drift that often follows discharge from treatment.
Structure is paired with autonomy. As residents stabilize, curfews loosen, responsibilities grow, and planning shifts toward permanent housing and steady income.
Benefits, employment, and the next address
Many veterans qualify for benefits they have never claimed. Our team helps residents gather documentation, connect with the VA, and follow claims through to a decision.
At the same time we work the employment side: résumés that translate military experience into civilian terms, interview practice, and referrals to fair-chance employers across Snohomish County.

Frequently asked questions
- Does my discharge status matter?
- No. Operation Valor serves veterans regardless of discharge status. We will still help you explore what benefits you may qualify for.
- Can my family stay with me?
- Housing is for the individual resident, but family reunification support is a core part of the program and we work toward family housing goals with you.
- Do I need to be in treatment first?
- Not always. Many residents come directly from treatment, but we review each situation individually.
